The routine use of skin markers is considered the best practice in breast imaging because they effectively identify points of interest and aid in communication between technologists and radiologists.

These Nipple markers help to quickly identify the location of nipples as a point of reference for measurements, proper positioning, and comparative image reviews. They are designed with a radiopaque “BB” to appear bright white in images without obscuring tissue when the breast is properly positioned with the nipple out-of-profile.
