Securline® VeriDigit® Barcode Blood Band

The Securline® VeriDigit® Blood Band Wristband is specially designed to support the Cerner Bridge Transfusion Administration system. VeriDigit® helps ensure positive patient identification prior to transfusion at the patient’s bedside. If any other blood bank ID bar code is scanned, such as a bar code sticker from the patient’s chart of transfusion order, the Bridge system issues an alert.

• Securline® VeriDigit® features a special permanent bar code that must be scanned by the transfusionist as part of the Cerner Transfusion Administration workflow
• The permanent bar code ID contains an embedded prefix and suffix code when scanned, ensuring staff verified the patient at bedside
