Precision Dynamics Corporation Appoints Gary E. Hutchinson as President/CEO
The Board of Directors of Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) has announced that Gary E. Hutchinson will serve as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer. Headquartered in San Fernando, California, PDC is the international leader in identification wristbands, serving the healthcare, law enforcement, and entertainment/recreation markets.
Former PDC President Walter W. Mosher Ph.D., the company's co-founder, will serve as Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for PDC. Further, he will direct the company's Scientific Advisory Board, emphasizing advanced electronic identification research & development.
Mr. Hutchinson is an entrepreneurial executive with 25 years experience in the healthcare technology field. He started his association with PDC as an appointed board member in June, 2002. He was previously Vice President/General Manager of the Cardiology Division for Agilent Technologies (formerly Hewlett Packard), which in August of 2001 was sold to Philips Medical Systems. Prior to his position at Agilent, Mr. Hutchinson was Chairman, President & CEO of Zymed, of which he was one of the founders in 1981. In June of 2000, Zymed was acquired by Agilent (now Philips Medical Systems).
Mr. Hutchinson also serves on the Advisory Board to MultiDigit, a startup that creates product user interface solutions for markets that use computer and hand held device technology. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Mr. Hutchinson also serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
Since co-founding PDC in 1956, Dr. Mosher is widely heralded as a pioneer of both bar code identification wristbands and radio frequency identification (RFID) wristbands. He has served on many national and local boards of directors, including AdvaMed in Washington, D.C., the Southern California Biomedical Council in Los Angeles, and the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) in Sherman Oaks. He has been honored by many professional and civic organizations, including VICA's Outstanding Business Executive, awarded in June, 2002, and the San Fernando Valley's Fernando Award for volunteerism in 1998.
